A fascinating book packed with fascinating information about a fascinating subject I knew nothing about.
Some sections do meander a bit, especially regarding stitching and some theories of provenance, but still well worth the read.
My main issue is that this was written over 20 years ago, and I had to go to Wikipedia to see what is new in the field (quite a bit apparently). I wished they would write an updated edition.
