Review: The Blind Owl

The Blind Owl The Blind Owl by Sadegh Hedayat
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Certainly a novel like no other I've ever read. It probably requires much more careful reading than I gave it, but to be honest I kept myself I bit aloof, probably because I was afraid it would drag me into a depression or something.

Regardless, it is poignant and pivotal and very disturbing. It somewhat reminded me of "Last words from Montmartre" by Qiu Maojin, but again, probably because I know what happened to the author shortly after writing it.
